I officially tendered my letter of resignation today, ending my two and a half year stint with AXA Advisors. I even changed my voicemail greeting and everything. Couldn’t be happier. My licenses will be good for two more years, meaning I have plenty of time to get back into the financial industry (although I don’t see that happening).
AXA was a good experience. I learned a lot about finances. A little too much about annuities and life insurance. My understanding of the corporate environment and the sales experience I acquired are invaluable. I probably wouldn’t recommend the company to friends or family, but it was a good experience. Not too many “full-time” careers allow you to make decent money while skiing 50+ days a year.
Not sure what I’ll wind up doing next. Maybe some sort of small business… maybe a restaurant… maybe something nearby… in the Jeremy Ranch area? Who knows?
I’ll make sure to update my employment situation. Not that anyone will be too concerned. I’m sure things will work out for the best.
Congratulations, little brother! Let me know if your “next” includes some website revamping and some sort of interesting, web-based loyal customer interaction.
I would appreciate any web-based help you can offer. It could be fun to test out a bunch of different things.
