From Salt Lake City P.D.’s watch command:
Officers Goodman and Lancaster went to the above location to investigate an assault. The suspect had left the scene so Officer Goodman asked Officer Lancaster to check the area. A short time later, Officer Goodman see’s the A/P in the area on his bike. Officer Lancaster tries to stop the A/P and he flees on his bike. Officer Lancaster is able to stop the A/P at 500 North Colorado St. As Officer Lancaster approaches the A/P, The A/P reaches behind his back as if he is grabbing weapon. Officer Lancaster takes the A/P to the ground and the fight is on. The A/P is attempting to pull a large knife on Officer Lancaster. Officer Goodman arrives and deploys her CED and A/P Raul Javier Dominguez 2-25-62 is taken into custody. He is charged with assaulting victim Bob Jones 7-31-60. Other charges are: Aggravated Assault on Police, Possession of Marijuana, Fleeing, NCIC hit from Arizona for Agg, Aslt on Police, and several other local warrants. A/P Dominguez made several statements that he is suicidal and did not have the guts to kill himself. Officers should approach Dominguez with great caution. Great Arrest by Goodman and LancasterJ
