I loaned $25 in Kiva money to a baker in Peru. Ms. Carmen Ita Alfaro Calderon is trying to buy a new display case and ingredients for her shop. I tried to find someone opening a bagel shop, but a Peruvian bread baker will have to do. I’ll donate more as soon as Joseph in Lebanon pays back my old loan for his bakery.
I skied PCMR with Freys, Karla and Sam. We started out skiing some powder in the trees off 10th Mountain. Then we did a few laps on McConkey’s before heading to Main St for lunch.
After lunch, we did some hiking. First the trees above Jup Access and then Pineone. The snow was pretty good in both places It was a little heavy on Pinceone, but the hike made it worthwhile.
Then we went really fast on some groomers. Overall, we skied from 9:30 – 3:30, one of the longest ski days of the year.
