Ski Day #48

A few of us skied Solitude yesterday.  With Alta, Snowbird, and Brighton reporting 9″ of new snow, we made our way to Solitude with only 2″ of new snow over the past 24 hours.  There was definitely more snow than what was reported online.  We got some good turns on the Cirque before heading into Honeycomb.  We hiked the ridge above Black Bess and traversed past Voltaire for our first run.  After a quick lodge break, we did a few runs through the Cirque and the Headwall Forest.  The last run of the day was down Black Forest on the opposite side of Honeycomb.  By then, the snow had become fairly deep, kind of a surprise powder day.
