Cliff Jumping At Echo Reservoir Edit

Echo Reservoir is the closest cliff jumping spot to Park City. From Park City Bread and Bagel, the Echo cliffs are a quick 23.5 mile drive and slightly annoying 20 minute walk away. After ducking some barbed wire and descending a couple hills you find yourself on a series of cliffs overlooking the Echo Reservoir, Coalville, and the Echo Dam. The cliffs start out small, around five feet, and gradually increase to 45-60 feet depending on the time of year. It’s a great spot for experienced jumpers as well as those just looking for place to beat the heat in the summer.

This video was filmed over a couple of days in late July. Good times.

  • Just be careful to avoid the shortcut by parking on the Westbound I-80 view area. The highway patrol has been issuing warnings and tickets for freeway jaywalking. Annoying, but it’s probably for the best.
  • Bring watershoes
  • Bring plenty of water/beer
  • Don’t jump onto an air mattress from a cliff. Someone did it last year and broke their back.
