2012 – Ski Edit #5: V-Day Ski Day At Solitude

I originally uploaded this video featuring the Black Keys song “Howlin’ For You.” Unfortunately, the record label that owns Black Keys doesn’t allow for third party usage on YouTube. So, my video contained no audio. I already deleted the iMovie file on my laptop, so I was stuck with finding a song of similar length. I found this K-os song, it kinda works. You’ll have to take my word for it, but the original song worked really well (I guess if you wanted to you could play “Howlin’ For You” on Spotify while muting the K-os song).

Either way, check out this video of Gold and I skiing  four Honeycomb Canyon laps at Solitude on Valentine’s Day, “I Wish I Knew Natalie Portman Edition.”

Great New Park City Company: Soul Poles

http://www.soulpoles.com/

A great video showing the production process of Soul Poles, sustainable ski poles made right here in Park City. Made of bamboo, recycled plastic, hemp, and recycled aluminum , these poles are for sale online and at Cole Sports in Park City.

My friend Mike Schirf filmed and edited the video. The song is by Bryon Friedman, a Park City local, former US Ski Team member, Dartmouth Grad, musician, and owner of Soul Poles.

I need a pair of these.

Ski Day #26

I skied Canyons PCBB employee and future rock star, Codi Jordan. It was Codi’s first day of the year and he cruised around on his brand new Ramp Prickly Pear board.
