Mountain Biking Day #8

I went for a ride above my house today with Mogul and Hobbes. I rode from the house to the fire-road between Southridge and Moose Hollow Road. From there I climbed the newly cut trail towards the summit above Moose Hollow. After picking up the 2008 Mountain Trails Foundation Map yesterday, I was finally able to correctly label the new trail “The Avenues.”

It took a little less than an hour to reach the end of the out-and-back, followed by an awesome 10 minute ride back to the fire road. The dogs rested for a bit before making our way back to the house. Fun ride, and the dogs have been asleep since 5 pm.

Unemployment is the best.

Back From Moab

I got back from Moab last night, just in time for my softball game (I went two-for-three, with two triples… but we lost again). We camped for a couple nights, did some Jeeping with a friend’s Grand-Uncle, and hiked around on some red rock. No mountain biking this time.

I uploaded a bunch of pictures to PhotoBucket. Really its just a bunch of pictures of Mogul and Hobbes.

Fun trip. The most memorable moment happening on the drive home. I got pulled over on Highway 6, a little south of Price. A UHP Officer clocked me at 80 in a 65.
